Richard M. Bennett

Richard Bennett focuses his practice on criminal defence and immigration law; including refugee, deportation, and appeal matters. Richard was called to the Alberta Bar in 1988. His post-secondary education is quite extensive, including Jr. and Sr. Diplomas in Visual Communications (Photography) from the Banff School of Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan.

Richard helps his immigration clients through the refugee process, including refugee hearings, with deportation matters, and with any immigration appeals. He has given seminars and public talks at the Calgary Immigrant Aid Society, the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, Calgary Legal Guidance and the Criminal Justice Education Committee. Mr. Bennett is also on the Board of Directors of the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society and a volunteer lawyer with Calgary Legal Guidance.
