Brian A. F. Edy

Brian Edy is a practicing litigation lawyer in Calgary whose work emphasizes, Family, Constitutional and Criminal Law. Brian has practiced Law since 1983. He was awarded in 1993 the Suzanne Mah award for Human Rights by the Alberta Human Rights Commission in "recognition of exemplary human rights principles and ideals in the practice of law and in service to Albertans".

Brian Edy is a former President of the Alberta Civil Liberties Association and is currently a national director with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association. He is also a past President of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Association of Alberta.

Brian is a joint Editor and contributing author of "Privacy Handbook for Canadians your Rights and Remedies, Two Volumes". He has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and the Supreme Court of Canada.
